The project started in August 2018 by a group of single parent mothers as a way of generating income to boost their economic status. Apart from vegetable production, the project also has indigenous chicken production. The project has 10 active members. Water is a challenge for the project. There is a dire need for a water well. The well is hoped to be established by July 2021. The water well will service the project and an estimate of 50 homesteads within the project vicinity. The project is located at Emhlaleni area, about 15 kilometres west of Manzini city.

Apart from being closer to the city, there is a number of supermarkets around the area which
gives better opportunity for market. The project is better positioned to supply local
supermarkets as well as selling the produce to the big market in the city.

The project needs to fully venture into drip irrigation for better yield while using minimum
amount of water, hence there is need for:
● 5000 liter water tank to store water that will service the project fully
● Drip pipes and drip inputs
● Hatcher/incubator for indigenous chicken production
